TONIGHT: The City of Lancaster Invites You to Enjoy the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve After Dark with a Moon Walk

Saturday, February 22, 2014

The City of Lancaster invites the public to visit the Prime Desert Woodland after dark to experience a magical night of nature and astronomy.

Jeremy Amarant, Director of the SAGE Planetarium, will take participants on a journey through the mysterious night sky, teaching about the stars and constellations. City Park Rangers will accompany the walk and open the Interpretive Center, answering questions and adding to the fun. As an added bonus, weather permitting, Antelope Valley Astronomy Club members plan to be on hand with their telescopes for a closer look at the beautiful night sky.

Enjoy this one-mile tour of the captivating Prime Desert Woodland Preserve on Saturday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m.  A $2.00 donation is welcome, but not required.

The Prime Desert Woodland is located at 35th Street West & Avenue K-8 in Lancaster. Please call the Preserve Ranger with any questions, (661) 723-6230.
