Greetings fellow Antelope Valley live music lovers. Welcome to Picker’s Roundup, the one stop source for all your weekend entertainment planning needs. Although the focus is primarily on live performance music and the fine musicians that live and play in the Antelope Valley, we will occasionally head out of town to a particularly fun event. So get out and have some fun this week, and on behalf of local performers everywhere, we thank you for your support. There is quite a bit of ground to cover, so let’s get started. Hey Picker, where are you playing this week? Thanks for asking. Saturday morning I’ll be playing with Cherry Picker and the Boomers at the Leona Valley Cherry Festival from 11 until 2. Then, Saturday Night with Highway 138 Band at Thunder on the Lot.

Friday 06/06/2014: Bullfroggs Playing On The BlvdJoin the Bullfrogg Blues Band as they kick off the big Thunder on the Lot Weekend on the Blvd Stage starting at 5:30.

Friday 06/06/2014: Julianni’s Italian Ristorante is where it’s at tonight with the Just Us band. The Party is on the Patio beginning at 7:30.

Friday 06/06/2014: Vagrant X Does Coach’s With Kim Chandler On Bass.  Rosamond will be Rockin tonight, starting at 8:00.

Friday 06/06/2014: John Spear and Runaway Train is tonight’s featured musical attraction at Vincent Hill Station. The party is out on the patio andbegins promptly at 9 PM.

Friday 06/06/2014: The Elizabeth Cervantes Band will host a night of great R&R and Dance musicon the Blvd tonight at BeX Bar & Grillbeginning at 9 PM

Saturday 06/07/2014: Cherry Picker and the Boomers will play for the Cherry Festival at the Leona Valley Community Center from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. BE ADVISED: Elizabeth Lake Rd will be shut down at 9:00 to accommodate the Cherry Parade, so get there early!

Saturday 06/07/2014: Vincent Hill Station would like you to know that Michael Gabrielwill be performing in the lounge from 6 until 10 PM.

Saturday 06/07/2014: Lions Named Leo Play Thunder on the Lot at 3:30.  Highway 138 Band teamed with this outstanding high energy Alt Rock band at last weeks Cosmic Concert. This is one of those "Don't Miss" bands, be there!

Saturday 06/07/2014: Bullfroggs play Thunder on the Lot at 6:30. Local favorites Bullfrogg Blues Band will be opening on the main stage for the headline act, History Channels Danny “The Count” Koker’s band, Count’s 77.

Saturday 06/07/2014: Butlers Coffee in Palmdale features Tisa Adamson to start off the fun and games tonight and will be followed by Mayde In Ireland. The show starts promptly at 7 PM.

Saturday 06/07/2014: Perfect Strangers will play for your listening and dining pleasure on the New Patio Stageat Julianni’s Italian Ristorante from 7:30 until 11:00 PM in the Lancaster Market Place.

Saturday 06/07/2014: The Suits Live at the Blvd Clubwill be the best dang R&R Club party in town, and begins at 9:00 PM at the Blvd Club at BeX.

Saturday 06/07/2014:Here’s the one you’ve been waiting for! Highway 138 Band the 9 PM Show at Thunder on the Lot on the Car Show Stage at the AV Fairgrounds immediately following the conclusion of the headliner Count’s 77.

Saturday 06/07/2014: The Rock Inn Lake Hughes You can’t always get what you want, but tonight you can get all of your favorite songs, just the way you like ‘em with the Tapp Band featuring Barbara Leone from 9 PM until 1 AM. Come early, have a nice meal and listen to some great tunes. The chow is always tasty, so get there early and have a great supper!

Sunday 06/08/2014: The Lancaster United Methodist Church will present a fine program of contemporary worship music during the early Sunday service, beginning at 9 AM. The worship team is led by assistant pastor Jason Woodell.

Sunday 06/08/2014: The Unity Band, featuring Walker and Lindsay Gibson, Danny Leoni sharing The Word with songs of praise during Sunday services at Unity Church of Antelope Valley at the Hilton Garden Inn each week beginning at 10 AM.

Sunday 06/08/2014: Tony Capko and Herbie Kae Jazz Group will be playing the Brunch shift from 11 AM until 2 PM at Vincent Hill Station.

Sunday 06/08/2014: Sunday afternoon All Star Jam at Vincent Hill Station beginning at 3 PM.

Sunday 06/08/2014: The Sunday Pro Blues Jam with the 360 Horns in Downtown Newhall is well worth the short drive down the slope. And it’s right across the street from the Metro station at The Vu Bar and Lounge. You can even ride the train down and back, how cool is that? The finest musicians in SoCal gather each week starting at 4 PM to play the finest Blues, R&B, and a touch of Funk at the Best Jam Session for the past 24 Years. When was the last time you danced to pro horn section? I’m guessing it’s been way too long. The $5 cover buys your first drink. You’ll like the way it makes you feel, I guarantee it.
