Monday, November 04, 2013

LANCASTER, Calif. – The Lancaster JetHawks Professional Baseball Club, class A affiliate of the Houston Astros, introduced updates to its team identity system during an open house party at The Hangar Wednesday evening.
The updated on-field cap and on-field alternate jersey designs and colors represent the first change to the organization’s identity since the club re-branded itself prior to the 2008 season.
The three new on field caps include the same JetHawks logo that has been seen on the previous version of the team’s home cap and each version will now include the following color schemes:
Home Cap: Navy Blue
Road Cap: Navy Blue crown with Brick Red Visor
BP/Alternate Cap: Grey crown with Navy Blue Visor
The home and road caps will be New Era 5950 caps (the same style worn by Major League players).
The re-designed Batting Practice/Alternate cap is the New Era Diamond Era 59FIFTY® cap which is infused with NE TECH™ materials to keep players cool and comfortable on the field. Made with a new state-of-the-art performance diamond patterned fabric, the Diamond Era 59FIFTY is light and breathable and the cap features SOLARERA™ , UPF 50+ protection that helps reflect the sun’s rays. COOLERA™ technology wicks away sweat to keep players comfortable, allowing them to focus on optimal performance.
The team also updated its on-field BP/Alternate jersey which will now be Navy Blue with Brick Red accents and Brick Red numbers on both the back side and front of the jersey, to compliment the JetHawks left chest logo.
The team’s new home and road caps are available now for purchase on-line at or in-person at The Hangar Merchandise Store, which is open Monday – Friday from 9 – 5.
