Daily Delights A Higher Plan

.

This kleenex box represents the tears I shed when I am betrayed by a friend, or disappointed things don’t turn out the way I had hoped. You may not think God is listening. There was a time in my life I didn’t either. Then I discovered when I am willing to wait, He puts a bow on top and surprise me with so much more. Hang in there and you will be surprised.

Isaiah 40:31, says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.”

After years of hard work, accruing huge debt and sacrificing everything they owned,  two businessmen were about to throw in the towel. Then, one of them recalled a story from the Bible. It was the story of when Peter had just returned from a discouraging fishing trip. Peter was an experienced fisherman, in fact fishing was his occupation and he caught nothing. Jesus, wanting to get away from the crowds, stepped into Peter’s boat and started moving away from the shore. When they were far enough from the shore he said, “Put your net on the other side.” Peter began with the objections but stopped himself and did what he was instructed to do. Much to his surprise, he caught so many fish, he had to call for help to get them all into the boat.

The two businessmen knew they had to make another attempt and try something they had never done before. Before the presentation was over, a woman came down the aisle with her agreement filled out and says, “I’m signing” … and many followed.

You may not think God is answering your prayers. I didn’t either. Then I discovered He had a higher plan.

Isaiah 55:8,9 says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.” “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
